ABOUT THE SONGS

ELECTRO-DOMESTIC is a project for domestic machines and voices. fuzzy lady is an improvisation for washing machine, drum machine, piano and voices. It was made for the video of the same name. The last minute guitar sent to me via e-mail from my brother in law in Paris gave the piece the right atmosphere and a warm feeling to it. I'm very happy for the unexpected present. hoover love is a draft and features a hoover or vacuum cleaner and some remains of my brother-in-law's guitar.

BROKEN-HEARTED-ness is what is required for me to make songs. alas was made on a sunday evening, under a state of deep sadness. At times I sing out of tune, but instead of recording the voice again I thought it made sense, since that is precisely how I felt. homelessness came after too much Paul Auster reading and too much crying for the same ghost. The lyrics are, as always, scarce.

trail is about the love/hate pendular movements one experiences under the effects of a caprice, and that is my 7th attempt to finish the bloody, damn, maldita song. I made trail instrumental just to express how unsatisfied I am with the sang version: a hymn to failure with video.

desalejar is still under construction, but more than likely it will stay as it is. It's got no words at all, since the song is about trust. Incindetally, desalejar is the Spanish word for Heidegger's ent-fernung

fog is a humming thankful sketch für Manu and fenneziana is a lazy sketch from the old days as an OL (office lady)

RABANO is my name spelled backwards, which means radish in Spanish. Call me a schizo. But I just feel like a totally different person when I decide to make a song as Rabano. I like the way music allows me to experience different identities, even if all of my songs sound alike to you :]

THE OLD ONES
andrei is a sigh that came out after I saw Tarkovsky's "Nostalghia". The voice on this track was recorded only once, without any rehearsal or previous plan.
In cold there is very little arrangement, little composition and little lyrics. The background sound was recorded from my window, during a storm in rainy season.
ferrequiem is my homage to Luc Ferrari and nioi is just a scent.
